![]() ![]() ![]() I actually have the desktop version, of the quick cam pro 9000, it is the BEST webcam I have EVER seen, I wouldn’t have a doubt in my mind that this wouldn’t be worth $99. The QuickCam Pro for Notebooks will retail for $99 at most major electronics retailers. Logitech packs a lot of features, accessories and quality into this package. This is something that built-in webcams don’t have and one reason to take a look at this camera even if you already have a buil-in webcam on your notebook. Logitech’s RightLight technology improves image quality in low-light environments or when there’s strong backlighting. There are lots of fun things you can do with Fun Filters and Avatars (see video above), but one of the best features is RightLight. There’s also a stand to elevate the camera to face level and so users have more flexibility in where they position the camera. ![]() The Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks comes with a carrying case and headset so you can keep your video chats private when you’re out and about. Logitech’s teamed up with Carl Zeiss to deliver a glass lens, capable of delivering 2MP images and 1.3 megapixel video. The most important part of any camera is the lens and webcams are no exception. I sat down with Stan Kwong of Logitech for a demo and was very impressed with what he showed me. Images are very sharp and clear, and Logitech’s software is fun and easy to use. The new QuickCam is capable of recording high-def (720P) video and has several premium features, that make it an excellent deal at $99. Logitech just unleashed its latest webcams, including the QuickCam Pro for Notebooks. ![]()

![]() ![]() A follow-up questionnaire was given to the 53.5% who had reported at least some degree of clown fear. Our next step was to explore the origins of people’s fear of clowns. We also discovered coulrophobia decreases with age, which again matches up with research into other fears. The reason for this difference is not clear, but it echoes research findings on other phobias such as the fear of snakes and spiders. We also found that women are more afraid of clowns than men. Interestingly, this percentage reporting an extreme fear of clowns is slightly higher than those reported for many other phobias, such as animals (3.8%), blood/injection/injuries (3.0%), heights (2.8%), still water or weather events (2.3%), closed spaces (2.2%), and flying (1.3%). More than half the respondents (53.5%) said they were scared of clowns at least to some degree, with 5% saying they were “extremely afraid” of them. Clowns are intended to cheer us up and make us laugh, but why are so many people afraid of them?(Photo by Clown Caramello on Pexels) The Fear of Clowns Questionnaire was completed by an international sample of 987 people aged between 18 and 77. To do this, we devised a psychometric questionnaire to assess the prevalence and severity of coulrophobia. We also wanted to explore how common the fear of clowns is in adults and to look at the severity of the fear in those who reported it. So we set out to discover the reasons people are frightened by clowns, and to understand the psychology behind this. While numerous possible explanations of the phobia had been put forward in academic literature, no studies had specifically investigated its origins. Yet it is not well understood due to a lack of focused research. Studies indicate this fear is present among both adults and children in many different cultures. Coulrophobia, or the fear of clowns, is a widely acknowledged phenomenon. ![]() Shop Mehron Australia and go all out on your performance art, you won't regret using our supplies to complete your look. Are you scared of clowns? Ammonites existed in the seas before they became extinct and fossilized in marine rocks. Originally, Ammonite is a term used to refer to a sub-order of Ammonoids that lived during the Jurassic Period or about 201 million years ago. It was the natural philosopher Pliny the Elder who first called the fossil ammonis cornua (horn of Ammon), likening them to the horns of the Egyptian god Ammon. The name ‘Ammonite’ was inspired by the spiral shape of the fossilized shell, which look like the coiled horns of a ram. It is commonly found in Brazil, Madagascar, and Morocco.
